Let the Insanity Begin!

After much anticipation, finally the UPS guy delivered the box I've been waiting on for what seemed like forever. Insanity! I tore into that sucker like a kid on Christmas morning and may I just say... niiiice packaging! I decided to watch Plyo Cardio Circuit just to see what I was getting myself into and OH-MY... I think I burned a few hundred calories just watching the thing!

So ok... I was trying to go over the days and decide when I should start. It would be nice to have Sunday as my rest day but I'm so busy on Wednesdays that it would also be a good, logical rest day. But in all my excitement, I decided to start right then. It makes my rest day on Tuesday which makes absolutely no sense for me so I might have to do some juggling to change it. Anyway, I popped in the fit test DVD and had at it! It was late and I'm sure my numbers could have been better but that will just make my improvement look awesome right? LOL! I don't have my stats here with me now but I'll post my numbers soon. It was quite a workout in and of itself and it made me hungry for more! (I know, I'm getting a little nutso here.)

Today, I have to admit, I was a little nervous to do the first hardcore workout, Plyometric Cardio Circuit (PCC). I pushed play and thought, there's no turning back now! I tell ya, I was huffing and puffing during the stinkin' warmup! I finally hit my stride and I was feeling pretty good. My HR got up to 174 which is pumping pretty good for me. I had to take a few too many breaks for my liking but I know that will improve. Right?

People keep asking me if it was harder than the Plyo from P90X but it was so different it's hard to say. I would say it was a harder cardio workout but I think the One on One Plyo Legs is the mac-daddy of them all. I would not recommend this (PCC) to a person just beginning to workout. It would be too discouraging because you'd be stopping all the time. It's intense, it's insane and I LOVE IT!!

  1. It's a beast! Just wait until you get to Cardio Power and Resistance..or Pure Cardio..or Max Interval Training..OK ALL of them are monsters!! LOL 174 on the HR ain't too shabby, I think you're going to do great on this program! It does make you a little nutty, because you feel like you just climbed a mountain when you're done!

  2. I'm seriously considering adding Insanity to my library very soon here. I plan on mastering Plus first, but I think Insanity is in my future. I can't WAIT to hear about your experiences with Insanity! Keep us updated!
